As India continues to stride into 21st century, rapid social, cultural, political and economic changes are being brought about in the country. An important question that arises at this stage is: what kind of future must we build and what legacy should we leave, for our children? The seeds of thinking on this subject must come from the literary minds of the country. Poets, writers, artists and other creative minds should assume a central role in imagining the “India of future” and compliment the effort of policy makers, academics and economists in shaping India into 21st century.
The Taj Roundtable comprises of thinkers, opinion makers, cultural tzars, literary icons and other eminent persons who mentor and guide the Planning Board of the Colloquium in its work for the Colloquium; serve as a stakeholder representative forum drawing from the length and breadth of literary, cultural and art world; and critically review the work of the Colloquium.
